We are seeking a skilled and proactive Technician to join our research and development team. At UP Catalyst, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our production and R&D equipment operates efficiently and reliably. From maintaining and installing machinery to supporting hands-on R&D activities, your work will directly contribute to building the future of next-generation clean technology.
Your Role:
Maintain, repair, and install machinery and equipment within our R&D and Production areas
Ensure efficient operation through primarily hands-on, on-site shop-floor work.
Install new machinery/equipment according to technical drawings, specifications, equipment manuals
Diagnose and repair machinery issues quickly and during assigned working hours to minimize downtime and keep production running smoothly.
Follow scheduled maintenance plans, including lubrication, calibration, validation, inspections, and parts replacement.
Keep accurate records of maintenance tasks, repairs, manuals, and installation procedures
Support various tasks that contribute to the smooth operation and upkeep of company facilities.
Follow all UP Catalyst’s safety protocols and guidelines at all times - across the shop floor and the wider facility.
Some of the key technical skills we are looking for include:
Proven experience in the maintenance and repair of technical equipment
Ability to work safely with AC and DC voltages; basic multimeter skills required.
Experience with using angle grinder
An understanding of pipe threads and basic plumbing
Basic experience with pneumatic lines and fittings
Ability to read and understand technical drawings
Forklift license is a plus
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Strong commitment to safety and workplace best practices
Metal fabrication and basic TIG welding skills is a bonus
