We are looking for a skilled mechanical/chemical engineer to play a key role in scaling up our pioneering technology. In this role, you will lead the design, construction, and initial operation of scale-up equipment, while collaborating across automation, electrical, and data systems.
Your role
Lead, oversee and internally own the design, construction and initial operation of scale-up equipment and parts of that equipment
Simulate mechanical and thermal loads and define materials of construction for scaled-up equipment
Evaluate and select suppliers, own supplier communication regarding design
Review internal and external designs and lead or take part in failure mode effects analysis (FMEA)
Support with the integration of mechanical designs into automation and electrical design such as electrolyser equipment and automated movements in a production environment, where possible
Support with the integration of data collection related to the designed machinery, where possible
Take responsibility in other activities that are viable for the company’s best performance
What we are looking for:
Degree in engineering (mechanical, chemical, or related field)
Proven track record in successfully designing and implementing projects
2-10 years of relevant experience
Proficiency in technical documentation preparation and revision
Advanced proficiency in CAD software, preferably PLM or Autodesk
Command of English
Nice to have:
Experience in chemical engineering or engineering for chemical plants
Background in automation, electrical engineering, and/or microelectronics
Hands-on experience with FEA and CFD calculations and relevant software tools
Experience in rapid prototyping and outsourcing components
Project management experience
Previous involvement in EPC-supported projects
Command of Estonian
