Laboratory Technician

We are seeking a talented and motivated Laboratory Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate should have experience working in a chemical laboratory and should be familiar with safety protocols for operating high temperature equipment. Responsibilities include operation and maintenance of reactors, reagent and component preparation and process monitoring. The successful candidate will have excellent problem-solving and communication skills and will be able to work both independently and collaboratively. Experience with laboratory equipment and techniques is mandatory.


Your role:

  • Operate, troubleshoot and maintain reactors and wet chemistry instrumentation.
  • Prepare reagents, solutions, and samples for analysis.
  • Perform regular calibration and maintenance of equipment.
  • Ensure timely availability of consumables and reagents.
  • Manage inventory and assist in resource allocation for simultaneous projects.
  • Adhere to GLP/GMP standards and laboratory safety protocols.
  • Participate in risk assessments and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
  • Assist in data collection, preliminary analysis, and documentation.
  • Use software tools for managing project-related data.
  • Work closely with researchers to prioritize tasks based on project timelines.
  • Communicate any issues, delays, or resource constraints effectively.

Some of the key traits we are looking for include:

  • At least two years of previous experience in industry, in either a chemical production environment or R&D laboratory.
  • Education background: BSc degree in Chemistry, Physics, or similar discipline. Alternatively, advanced technical degree, e.g. chemical process operator, laboratory assistant or a similar field.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently and meet tight deadlines without compromising on quality.
  • Diligence in following protocols, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring data integrity.
  • Proficiency in operating lab equipment and conducting standard electrochemistry and/or wet chemistry experiments, with a willingness to learn new methodologies.
  • Flexibility and resourcefulness in adjusting to evolving project requirements and dynamic work environments.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to work seamlessly with cross-functional teams and researchers.
  • Proactive in troubleshooting technical issues and implementing effective solutions.
  • Highly organized with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage lab resources effectively.
  • Diligent and good documentation skills.
  • Good communication skills in English, both oral and writing.
  • Team player.
